I've got them. They're heavy, but I like them. They're very similar to the Bridgestone MT.
If they're rotated often and tire pressure monitored, the wear is pretty good. I'm pretty sure they've been discussed here before, do a search.
Yeah, I've searched. For the price nobody has to convience me to buy them. I just needed to see if I got a couple of awfuls with folks who had a few miles on them now. I always seem to end up pushing left or right off track and into some good ol' boys 40" swamper line. The center lateral tread design appeared to be the ticket to keeping a heavy rover from sliding down sideways.
I've been running them in 235/85's for about six months. No issues to speak of. The tires perform great offroad and are decent on road. Let's also not forget that they look pretty tough as well.
Yah, so scratch that. My wear is NOT what I thought it was, and after almost 4 years, I'm loosing lugs. Plus I'm getting tired of the noise.
Switching back to BFG AT KO's as soon as I can.
I used to say that but they started this odd cupping wear pattern that the tire store can't explain so I ordered some new BFG KM2. The Toyos have gotten so bad that they vibrate the truck at low speeds.
Happy as hell with the KM2's. Wearing even and very little noise albeit noise is increasing as they get wear on them but nothing to complain about a MT. 10k and lots of trail wear thus far.
