When I changed bumpers, removed the 2 existing fogs on my DII. Saved the oem bumper and fogs if I ever need to go back.
I am thinking of hooking up 2 new lamps using the existing fog lamp wiring and switch. I got the pigtails with plugs off some broken Dii fogs and am thinking of hooking these to the new lamps and just plugging in.
My questions are:
1) If I remember correctly, the stock fog bulb is 55 watts. If the 2 new lamps are 55 watts each or less, then should there be no problems with wiring the new lamps into the existing wiring?
2) Would it still be a good idea to put a relay in? If so, then what type & how should it be wired into the factory fog circuit? Or is there already a oem relay in the existing fog circuit?
Eventually, I will hookup more lights but those will be using new wiring, relay and switch.
