Another seat heater question...G4 Disco

With our 97 Disco 1, we added the seat heater switches, presto!

Now we are looking at buying a G4, with duragrain seats. I know the duragrain seats don't usually have the heaters built in, but with the different build on the G4's I am wondering if they might.

Any G4 owners out there know? And if the heating elements aren't in the seats, does the wiring harness at least have power going to the panel where the switches install?

no such luck. plugs are there, but no heating elements.

Last year I got in touch with roverconnection.com to see what it would cost for the elements/other packages, this is what they responded with:

RCD2HEAT: heated switch kit $60
RCD2HEAT2 Heating Pads (back and bottom set for one seat) $100

so it seems like it'd be a total of $260.00 to put them in.

Just to add to the intrigue... SOME duragrain seats *do* have the heater elements. I plan to check mine, as the other one at the dealer just like mine had the elements already.

so how do you know if they have the elements or not?

Check under the seat skin. It's held on by clips and is easy to undo just enough to take a peek.
