another t-case question

I searched forums and cant seem to find the answer, Basically I have an 03 d2 without the lockable cdl. I am buying a lockable one soon. My question is what does the t-case split power wise when the cdl isnt locked on the 03 t-case. Like i realize with it locked it goes 50/50 but when it isnt what happens? Just wondering,

When unlocked there is no torque splitter or limited slip feature. All the power goes to whatever spins the easiest.

In your 03 you have electronic traction control that activates breaks on spinning wheels so this may not be apparant though.
