Do you have the Rave manual? If not, search on hear to find it, download it and read it.
That said, it's fairly easy. Disconnect the battery terminals (both) and connect them together (use a zip tie) for about 1/2 h; this dissapates the capacitors used for the airbags.
The airbag cover gets undone with a Torx bit from behind the steering wheel. There is a large Nylok nut that gets undone (you should probably replace it, but i didn't) then remove the steering wheel (a rubber mallet works best, but I wrapped a sock around my ballpeen hammer). Be careful with the clock spring; I think I taped mine in place (see Rave).
Then you undo a few bolts/screws and the stalk comes out.
When I did mine, it looked like the grease in the contacts was watery. I noticed that I had issues when it was cold. I wonder if cleaning out the grease and replacing with dielectric grease would be a simple fix??? Never tried it, but my light stalk is starting to act up, so i may give it a try.
