Hi all! I bought a TJM rear bumper (used) a few years back. I'm finally getting around to installing it (life happened). Does anybody have any instructions or pointers on how to mount? I've searched the web but haven't found anything. I've got what seems to be more mounting pieces then needed. Thanks for your assistance.

It has a bracket that bolts to the same mountin point and the other end mounts on the frame rail. Then I have 2 L brackets, a strait piece of flat stock and two other plates with mounting holes and a tow point....

Hi,

My apology it's been years since I put the bumper on. The brackets go along the outside of the frame rail, big end to the back. The front of the bracket bolts to where the tie down loops are, the rear bolts to where the old bumper did. I crawled under and took a pic for you. Good you asked. I discovered I'm missing a bolt.

Thanks for the photo. I figured out that much of the install. I have more brackets then you show but figured it out. I have an extra side piece that mount out side of the big bracket and an eyelet bracket that doubles the thickness of the tow/recovery holes. I'll post pictures when it's all back together if you have any interest in seeing it.

Mike,

I too bought a used TJM bumper and am finally getting around to installing it. :) I see two holes in the long brackets that run parallel with the frame, and so I wondered what they mounted to. It looks like there are parts missing -- the eyelet bracket around the tow/recover holes.

Can you please post pictures of your installation?

Thanks,
Vince

Thank you. The pictures are very helpful.

It looks like I'll have to fabricate the extra braces since my seller did not include them.

Thanks again!

I called TJM Australia and they very kindly located the fitting instructions and emailed them to me, even though the product is discontinued. The PDF is attached in case anyone needs it in the future.

The fitting instructions document matches the most recent photo that D Chapman shared and also confirms that there are parts missing from my purchase. I'll have to fabricate them.
