In the vain of, if I keep it long enough it will be worth something.......I have a 1974 Honda XL 350. I am the second owner, bought it in 1978. It has always been stored inside. The seat isnt even torn. Anyhow, it has been literally 20 years since I have been on a bike. I can use the space more than the bike. I have lots of parts as well. Anybody have any idea what a general value would be. For it's age I would rate it as at least very good to excelent shape.

Rough estimate without seeing it- $800-1500.

Clean it up, get it running well. Take a video of it running and post on youtube. Assuming it's 100% original, make it look like the day it was sold (CLEAN!), and point out any small defects (scratches, pitting) that you can't just fix first. If you say it's perfect, nobody will believe you. Take lots of high res pictures.

Then put it on eBay with no reserve.

I have dabbled in 1970's Aermacchi/Harley-Davidson small-displacement single cylinder bikes as a hobby, and this formula works every time. The last one I sold was an unrestored, but complete, 1972 65cc (essentially a moped) with a few hundred miles for ~$3500.

There are a lot of guys interested in these little old bikes(of all makes), and they will drive across the country for an unmolested example.
