anyone else affected by the JLR parts delays?

I have a 2017 Disco that is awaiting a rear differential and didn't even realize until today there are massive parts shortages due to warehouse consolidations. The dealership communication has been terrible at best stringing us along with it will arrive in a couple days, next week, yada yada yada. Making appointments and then cancelling them the day before. Today another service advisor tells me it could be up to a year because they are back ordered? Not once in the last 3 months have we heard the word backordered from them. Are you friggin' kidding me?!?!

Anyone else running into these delays?

Yes I am being effected by JLR parts distribution. In your dealerships defense, they are helpless in this. I have experienced some really messed up things lately. I think some of it is disgruntled employees causing problems. We recently went looking for a customers part that was supposed to be coming. After a month of waiting we tried to track the shit and the tracking #s weren’t even real.
Land Rover seems to believe that all of this is somehow normal and the American public will just accept it to drive their fine products. If the quality was still good that would not have been a successful business plan. But since quality has gone to shit it’s really not going to fly. I see big problems, a sale, a restructuring, and a launching of all the people responsible for this shitshow. But it does appear to be North America sucking the most.

Not defending JLR bc I've lost faith in them too, but this crazy race to EV's + the regs that have resulted in shitty throw-away engines is killing the industry. Hopefully, the Start-Stop technology in our newer car is saving a seal every time i forget to manually turn it off before I come to a stop.

JLR is a joke. My local dealer was trying to get a brake pad sensor View attachment 65976it’s gotten crazy. Glad I’m half out.People don’t seem to be able to fix cars even though they have level 4 cert. They can’t seem to ship a windshield without breaking them. Look at the box I just got a $800 module in.

I just went to the parts dept to get some boxes for this crap I’m relieving them of. No Boxes. They told me they are getting no parts, so they have no boxes.
