Mark; Judging by your post date, I would say you already have returned from your trip. Hope you had a good time, and caught that trout you were looking for. :D I grew up in New England, N.H. primarily, but I did my first two years of College at U.N.E., in Biddeford. Went camping and fishing with my father at Baxter multiple times throughout late 80's and early 90's. Probably some of the best trout fishing in Maine. If you are ever in N.H., try the center section of the Contocook river. Brownies around 15-18 inches that fight like salmon in some of the eddies, take gray wolff's off a fly rod ravenously. If those don't work, try silver doctor's. But if you are not fly fishing for them, they may not rise. Good luck, buddy.

Thanks for the fishing report, your right about that area being the best around!!! Small world, my brother is one of the golf pros a Johns Island in Vero. If your ever return to Maine for some trout fishing, check out the Roach River in Kokadjo, catch and release, catch em' all day. thanks again, I will head to NH for the weekend!!!
