Anyone got an e-Workshop Manual for a 96 Disco ?

I have a '96 Disco 4.0 L Auto and I'm now having problems with the ABS. The ABS light came on last week coming back from camping, but the brakes work fine. Normally, the ABS light comes on at startup and then extinguishes once you start rolling (I think the owner's manual it turns off once you exceed 7 kph). As of last week, it has remained on except for one time when it turned off for a bit and then came back on :(

Also, my "Check Engine Light" has been on for a few months and was initially set off by bad plug wires and holy muffler ;) I've changed the plugs, wires and oil and put in a new Borla SS exhaust, and I'd like to turn the #$@&ing light off without having to pay the dealer another $100 or whatever to reset the system... I tried the procedure for resetting the CEL that I found in the Tech section of the forum, but this did not work... Hopefully the manual has some info on whre the ECU is located on my model...

Anyway, I've checked eBay for an electronic copy of the workshop manual for the Disco and I've seen some going for about $14, however have no way of knowing if they are any good or if they even cover my Canadian model.

Does anyone have one of these that they'd like to "share", or a link to a site that has the document ?

Thanks very much for any help :)

the sensors get dirty or come unseated....clean the sensors and reseat them. if this dont fix it,,,,its prob a bad sensor.

do a search for rave cd on here...there are some links posted for free copies.

for resetting the light....you need an obd2 scanner. buy one from harbor freight or take it to autozone and clear the codes.

enjoy...

ps the search button is your mookey stick friend...

Thanks a lot for the reply barefoot :) I got the manual downloaded and will have a look through it tomorrow. I had read about the ABS sensors becoming unseated and causing the ABS light to come on here in the Disco forum, and that's why I wanted to have a look at the manual since I will need to take the wheel(s) off to get to the sensors.
At this point I am assuming that there may only 1 sensor that has set off the ABS light, so it might be a good idea for me to invest in an OBD scanner....
Thanks again !
