I am getting ready to install a D1 CDL into my 2001 D2 and I've run into a couple of issues with some missing parts/pieces. Can anyone give me the measurements of the two items I've circled in the attached picture so that I could attempt to fab something as a temporary replacement? I'd like to get this installed prior to a trip I've got to make up north.

thanks for any help and credit to the original photographer,

I don't have the deminsions mine are on the truck. You will need 2 of the adjustment studs that you have circled in the lower left. There are instructions on here somewhere to make the little foot you have circled in the upper right. I made mine from flat steel but I didn't measure it. I just did it trial and error until it fit right. Try FAQ and look at the old "cdl lever" posts.

Just in case you can make it by the dealer
I pulled these from microcat

part # for adjustment screw FRC8202

The flange is tricky, as I can't quite tell which part # it is, but probably either FTC3698 or FRC8544

If not those, it should be part of that housing assembly, which would be part FRC8051.

Hope these help. I tried to get as clear as possible, and as 'straight on" as well, but hopefully with the scale you can make a template if your careful. If you need something else, I can try. I just picked up my linkage this morning, so happened to have it in the back of the LWB.

Thank you very much for the help! I've seen the instructions from rovershoppe, but was unsure how critical the distance between the nut and the opening for the piece that attaches to the arm was. I never even considered checking the microcat because I had always heard that it was all part of one assembly (much like the horn button which is part of an entire horn assembly at $130+!!). I'll give the dealer a call if Will doesn't have the parts. The photos were EXTREMELY helpful - I think I have a pretty good template to work with now. lrsafari - is there any chance I could get a measurement of the length of that rod (adjustment screw) on the left which attaches to the CDL bracket? (Distance from housing to start of the hole) I fabbed a temporary one using a thumb screw, but want to get a rough distance so that I have a reference when making adjustments. Once again - thanks alot!!

I will try to remember to take something tommorrow. I plan on getting a few things done or torn apart tommorrow on the truck anyway. I am about to pull my donor trucks LT out, as well as perform some other upgrades/repairs.

Glad to help, andd the timing wa pretty good as well :)

Side of the road....
I think I have those parts sitting around as spares. I am on vacation right now, but if you can wait a couple of weeks I will be back home and can check and we can work something out. I am almost 100% positive I have it. I bought two D1 setups at once and they were both complete.

Sorry, I didn't get to photo the parts. I had worst ever insomnia and a resulting ripping headache. I was barely able to comprehend the printed instructions on how to diagnose my erratic/non functioning mirrors, let alone remember to take a photo or 2. My apologies. I will try to remember tommorrow.

Mike,

Please PM me about those parts when you get back - I think I might be interested in them.

Scott,

No need for apologies - you are doing me a huge favor with the shots. I don't really need a photo of that rod; if you could just give me the distance it sticks out from the housing, that will be a big help whenever you can do it.

Thanks to both of you!
