...that would be able to look at a vehicle for me? It's at Land Rover of Dallas, on the N Central Expressway. Please be willing to do a good look over, test drive, discuss with service manager, etc. I will compensate you for your time.

Thanks!

I hope you found something that's really worth pursuing. Buying a used vehicle from a dealership has some drawbacks. One is that they clean their cars up so well it can be difficult to identify leaks or other trouble spots that might be visible when they have been neglected by a private party owner.

Then there is the dealer price...

Ugh, yeah a dealer vehicle would have killed the deal before it started. It's a private-party vehicle that is sitting at the dealer for an as yet unknown reason (it is in service)... Here's the craigslist ad: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/1782646877.html The guy has been fairly non-communicative. The service manager said he thinks the owner is possibly having some legal troubles. I've been throwing around the idea of even asking someone to go look at the truck for me, wondering if it was worth it. The service guy (Nathan) gave me a quick rundown of what he's had done, and it didn't sound like it could be $20k worth. However, I didn't want to press him for more info over the phone and waste his time since it's not his truck, plus he was busy. Nathan said to ask for anyone in service to show it to you.

slowNstdy, name a reasonable price...beer, paypal, whatever. PM me if you want. But....I'll be out of town until Monday night without reliable internet. I doubt the truck is going anywhere soon, so you can wait until next week to look at it. Thanks. Oh, and I saw your sig, it's all yours if you want it, but then you have to buy your own beer.:D
