Anyone still using ATF in their 5 speed?

I switched to Redline MTL about a year ago and find that shifting is worse in the cold than with the ATF. It's fine after 30 minutes of driving. Is ATF thinner? Anyone using ATF or know if it is safe for the transmission?

ATF is "safe" but it will wear the synchros faster. ATF is thinner.

I noticed the slow shifting when cold but it was not for 30 minutes, maybe 5.

I have been runnung ATF but I am about to switch to Redline MTF tomorrow. I will let you know if I see a difference

what regular MTL would you recommend Ron?

For an LT77 that is.

just use the redline MTL, its fine over a long period of time.

Redline MTL. (Not MTF not MT-90, You want regular redline MTL) Thats what I put in my disco and it made it way better.
