Ashcroft axles

Has anyone bought Ashcroft axles directly from Ashcroft? It looks to me that I could save quite a bit of money by doing so even with the "international" shipping. Can anyone chime in on this?

Not from Ashcroft specifically. I have purchased overseas, but only on an item that isn't available here. I guess it depends on the savings. Most larger items I have compared, after exchange rates and shipping, have not really been a considerable savings. Besides, I don't mind spending a few extra dollars to support our local LR aftermarket vendors. But hey, if your looking at a few hundred dollars, more power to you.

I got some gears directly from Dave. Did everything via email and shipping was actually a lot faster than I expected.

Lucky8 seems to be in the same ballpark (at least when I looked at D2 stuff), when you factor in exchange rate, shipping (domestic vs international).

I ordered a Tdi kickdown cable and brackets (which no one in the U.S. had and I mean no one) a few months ago and Dave Ashcroft was quick on shipping and easy to email with...
I highly recommend Ashcroft.
