I saw a weird thing like this on the highway once. Started life as a Porsche 944. Those have the engine in front, with a transaxle in back, connected with a large torque tube.
Whoever did this, cut away the front body back to the rear door line. So it was just a hatchback and fenders basically. Somehow they fastened a motorcycle steering head onto the front of the engine, with huge "chopper" rake, and bolted a seat to the powertrain tube.
