Attention Disco2 OWNERS!!! Now with pic

I have seen the new RTE D2 rear bumper and I think all will be pleased. It has very clean lines. Uses the stock lights . Very stealthy. Looks like it could be factory but offers the side quarter protction we all need. Keep a lookout for pic's soon. They sold one while I was there today and the paint is barely dry on the first one. So order now there going to be HOT! :D

Nice to see that I'm not the only one out there with a cracked stock rear bumper :D

I was without my camera today so I'll see what I can do over the next day or so. Mean while keep an eye on their website I'm certain the pic's will go up there soon enough.

Well with alittle snooping I found this. Options will include light guards and most likly extra nerfs like the D1 bumper. It is FULLY box construction and very much as ruged as any of the other RTE products.

Oh yea.... Priced under $1k :D

This is the first one so some slight changes may occur along the way but this the starting point and it will only get better as Steve gets feedback from everyone.

Wish I had a D2 now.... HHmmmmm

man, that's nice and clean. I like the fact that it uses the stock hitch assembly as well to retain the class III DOT rating. any idea if there's a skid plate figured out for it yet?.

He already has gas skids for the D1, not sure if it fits the II or if they are making a different one. I have one on the RRC already.

I ordered a rear for the RRC last week, they were finishing this one up. Looks really factory-like, but I guess if you wanted aggressive that can be accomplished as well. He is making mine with tube nerfs to give me a little more protection, and to match the sliders. I will see how things are going when I go back to pick mine up.

It does look nice, but i really think that it needs the reciever integrated into the bumper. Thats what i did with my custom bumper, and if you have the mounting points built right it seems to hold weight just as good as the drag ass factory hitch

No intergraded hitch b/c there really does nopt seem to be enough strength there using the factory mounting points for the bumper. That said I'm sure with enough head scratching it could be done. Steve just wanted to keep it simple and avoid the liabilities of the whole hitch issue.
I wish I had not cut my factory hitch off the RRover.

I'm pretty sure the D2 skid is on the way also.

I don't see a bumper on Slickrocks web site... :(

RTE really hit this one on the head- left all the "legal bits" in place, recessed tail lamps like the Trek bumper has... Haven't seen underneath, but I'm sure he did tthe side braces like we had discussed when he was scoping my Trek bumper. I think I might be ordering one up...
