We got our 05 LR3 SE Monday. I noticed that when I set the headlight switch to auto, the lights do not turn on at night. Any ideas here?

But they turn on if you switch them to manual position, yes? The sensor for the auto headlights is sandwiched between windshield and rear view mirror (along with the rain sensor if your SE is equipped with rain sensing wipers), first suspect would have to be a bad sensor.

You should test the rain sensing wipers to see whether they operate automatically. If the light sensor for the headlights is bad, chances are the auto wipers won't work, either (both systems share a single rain/light sensor.) If the wipers work, look for a blown fuse. I believe autolamps have their own fuse independent from the headlight fuses, but you'll have to check the manual to make sure.
