This is great stuff:

Juan Carlos Cruz, an illegal immigrant who has worked in plant nurseries for 20 years, huddled with dozens of relatives over the Memorial Day Weekend in the backyard of his brother's Phoenix-area home to plot out the family's next move to avoid what they say will be harassment by police. Virginia and California are the front-runners.

"If I were alone, I'd try to stay. But I have a family, and I have to find a place where we can live with more freedom," said Cruz, who hopes to move July 4 to blend in with holiday weekend traffic. "This is getting too hard."

Poor Juan Carlos. It's getting too hard for him to live illegally in Arizona. Sorry Virginia or California, he's headed your way on July 4th. Ironic.

Live with more Freedom huh?

Since he's illegal, he doesn't have a SS#, so he's paid no FICA for the last 20yrs, never had to pay & file a tax return, receives free police, ems, & fire protection, and more than likely received free medical services for the last 2 decades.

Poor Juan Carlos indeed...
I don't know of a highway from AZ to CA that would not have a Border Patrol checkpoint running on a major holiday...

I particularly like the "huddled with dozens of relatives" part. I'll bet there was probably only 1 unregistered and uninsured pickup truck in the driveway, though.

In the past 5 years I can't think of even one time when I haven't been checked by the border patrol between Phx and Yuma and then again between Yuma and San Diego.

That's what racial profiling is for!

EL PASO - The fatal shooting of a 15-year-old Juárez boy by a U.S. Border Patrol agent on the banks of the Rio Grande on Monday has sparked a diplomatic rift between the U.S. and Mexico.

The teenager, Sergio Adrian Hernandez Güereca, was shot in the head, Mexican officials said.

U.S. authorities said Hernandez was part of a group throwing rocks at Border Patrol agents who were trying to detain two men who had illegally crossed the border near the Paso del Norte Bridge in Downtown El Paso.

Chihuahua state police said the boy died on the Mexican side of the border from one gunshot wound to the head.

And the governor of Chihuahua on Tuesday condemned the killing and charged that the death was due to the "xenophobic and racist conduct derived from the approval of the anti-immigrant law S.B. 1070 in Arizona."

So the mayor of chihuahua is saying the mexican national who was shot while throwing rocks at a border agent was shot because of Arizona's sb1070 law, even though the shooting was in Texas...

They'll come here I'm sure... A county here has had a status check law on the books for a while now and they don't really enforce it either. Every 7-11 is full of day labor looking for work, most of which are illegal, and the cops just walk right by them on the way in to get their free coffee.. Passing at least two no loitering signs on the way in at that.

I've got an idea - if you don't like illegal immigration, don't fucking hire them. Problem solved. No jobs, no illegal immigrants.

Do you ever think before you write? There is no evidence this is true at this website. You are truly the village idiot. Its unclear whether banning you would be better than letting you continue to humiliate yourself for our benefit.

 If we started banning for glibness, I think we might end up rather quickly with an empty board.

Hmmmm....let's look at knewsom's stroke of genius here....

I don't like illegal immigration, I don't hire illegals. Problem not solved. No job offered to illegals by me but we're still overrun by illegal immigrants.
