Hi all: I traded a motorcycle for this truck several months back and did quite a bit of work on it. Now I'm interested in selling it or trading it for something different. The reason? Frankly -- and no offense meant -- the LR just isn't my cup of tea (pun?). The truck works very well, I just honestly don't care for it.

Highlights:
-- 1996 Discovery 1 SE-7, which with tan leather interior. Dual sunroofs, jump seats, rear air. 4.0 V8/4-speed auto, 98,xxx miles.
-- Medium-duty OME lift with OME shocks and steering stabilizer (installed by me). Truck handles and drives much better now.
-- Five 235/85/16 BFG MTs (full-size spare) on stock LR alloys painted black. About 80% tread.
-- Fresh fluids throughout.
-- New rotors and pads in the rear.
-- New wheel bearings and hub seals all around.
-- Sony in-dash CD with Pioneer 4-inch replacement speakers.

Truck was pretty filthy when I got it, spent several weeks getting it cleaned up. Removed beat molding and installed aftermarket. Removed rear resinator. Interior is clean, no rips or tears. Slightly tinted windows. ABS fuse is removed; otherwise no lights or codes.

Known issues: Appears to have small leak around rear sunroof; doesn't rain enough here to tell for sure. Exhaust gaskets are shot at the manifold (pass.) and collectors, though the cats and muffler are fine. Stock front bumper is tweaked a bit and has a couple of body dings on the passenger side (very hard to see with the white paint) from wheeling.

Otherwise, it's a clean truck. Doesn't leak fluid, except for a drop or two from the t-case on occasion. Runs cool, everything works (though I haven't checked the cruise), averages about 17 mpg in mixed driving. Honestly, as I said, I simply don't much care for the truck. Has a clear title and good AZ plates.

KBB private party in this ZIP is $7,500. I'd sell it outright for $6,800 or trade it for an American or Japanese SUV (4Runner, Tahoe/Yukon, Pathfinder, etc) or pickup (1/2 or 3/4 ton) of equivalent value.

I can forward photos at your request and am happy to answer any questions. Please don't bother lowballing as I don't need to sell the truck; it's just a whim. Feel free to contact me directly with offers, questions, etc. Thanks. azamstaff@yahoo.com
