Ok, so here is a question about front end vibration.

At 70mph and above on flat ground i get a nice shaking vibration from the front end. It goes away, or at least diminishes, if i am going up a hill (under more load)

This is what i am going to look into:

U joints
Flex coupling
Tires
Alignment.

Anything i may have missed?

things that cause "the shakes" in a land rover

1) front end alignment
2) worn tie rod ends
3) worn out shock absorbers
4) worn out suspension bushings especially panhard rod bushings
5) insufficient preload on the swivel housings
6) worn out steering damper
7) worn out tires i.e. seriously cupped due to lack of rotation
8) seized slip yoke in the front driveshaft
9) seized viscous coupling in a Borg Warner transfer case (only applies to 89 thru 95 Range Rover Classic's)
