We have not owned a TV for several years now....... and I feel MUCH better for it. With the web, local community radio/paper and NPR I have no need for the complete dribble that comes from the idiot box.

Not that it's all bad but man there is a lot of mind numbing garbage on there.

That said I have seen both of these wing-nuts here and there in little bits and would have to agree that "Bear" is lame. Could he kick my ass - probably - is he full of crap - yes.

add my name to the list who thinks bear is a douchebag. his show sucks...was watching his african savannah show last night for a few minutes as he "risked life and limb among the man eating lions" without mentionng he had a guy with a .30 cal rifle only feet away from him.

les's show is better because he's all by himself out there with just a few cameras and a pocketknife! .

I bought a big screen HDTV 3 years ago just to watch DVDs on and then 2 years ago I got wireless internet and thought why not get cable at the same time? There is so much CRAP on the idiot box! I surf between Fox News, History, Speed, Science, Mojo, Discovery, and National Geographic. Then there's another 893 channels that I'm paying for but never watch. Can't wait until computers/internet/TV are truly seamless so I can weed out the crap. I also enjoy the occasional Sponge Bob episode on Nick with my little one. That Sponge Bob is some good shit, he could kick Bear's ass into next Tuesday.

I have a Browning Saddle Gun (L.A.) in 4570 i used as a backup gun for buff
in Zambia.
Its an ok gun but visualy the high receivers on brownings turns me off a bit.

Bottom line is that there are too many "reality" shows on TV nowadays, i do not watch any of them in particular, because its all predetermined hype, sort of like WWE (no idea how people tune in to that soap opera, and pay money for pay per view).
