Does anyone have the cable to update the software on a Bearmach Hawkeye scanner or know of someone stateside that can do the update? Or, will any 15-pin serial to usb cable work? Mine is about four of five versions behind and I'd like to get it up to date. Thanks

They didn't charge me when I sent mine in.

But when I bought the LR3 license from the UK, I bought the update cable too. It was pretty cheap. http://www.island-4x4.co.uk/hawkeye-update-cable-ba5079-p-6022.html They say you need an power supply to run the hawkeye while doing the update, but the update cable is a passthrough design, so I just hooked the OBD2 cable up to the update cable, plugged it into the disco, and did the update with my laptop sitting on the hood.

The manufacturer sent me the update CD for free. I think I've still got the ISO for 6.0 floating around on one of my computers. I hope. I'm not sure if there is a later version out now.

No charge on the update from AB. How much is the cable, Erik? I don't know if there are many updates in store for the future but if it's cheap enough, it may be worth having around. Jafir, if you already have the cable, the version 7 software is available for download on bearmach's website.

I sold my cable with the hawkeye when I sold it. When I did the version 5 to 6 upgrade I had to get a new key from omitech, but they didn't charge for it because it was an upgrade not a new vehicle line.
