With the current rash of moving questions on the board, I thought I would ask mine. I have recently purchased a new home. Moving in next week, I have just about hammered out all the details but one. I am taking this opportunity to buy a new bed. Looking at a king size mattress and box springs. I have read enough reviews on e-pinions to thoroughly cloud the decision. I am leaning towards a Simmons or a Spring Air. I don't mind spending some cabbage to get the right one, however not quite in the market for a $20k Hypnos from Europe either. Any advice would be appreciated.

My wife and I just moved and just did the same thing. We ended up with the Tempurpedic (sp?) mattress. Its the memory foam. We got several recommendations from friends that had gone this route and loved it.

It took a few nights to get used to it but it is definitely the best mattress we have had. About the only down-side is I don't/can't sleep well now on any other mattress. When I travel on business (few trips a year) or go on a vacation - its tough. But at home, its awesome.

We have a king size sleep number bed too and we like it.. Only thing that botherd us about it was that the lady from the store kept calling us every week for 4 months trying to get us to tell her what sleep numbers we were using. The term "none of your business" just didn't seem to be understood by her.

oh and it's real easy to take apart. You un zip the top, it has two air bags with foam in the center and around the edges. Let the air out, fold every thing up and you have one real easy to move king size bed. unlike a normal bed.

Go for the Select Comfort... I was having back issues and always tossing and turning.

Got the bed and found myself getting much better sleep and would wake up in the exact postion I fell asleep in, never turning once.

Man , you gotta go lay on a bunch to find out what you like. dont look at the price let your back tell you.

I dropped a grand on a new mattress last winter. I dont know if it is the best one or the cheapest one. i layed on it and knew it was for me.

They gave me a free sheep too. Gotta love that.

Tempur-Pedic.

I can't say enough good things about it. I love this thing. I sleep like a dead man now.

Springs? That's caveman technology.
