Last weekend I installed the lift on my '98 D1 LE.
2" RTE HD springs
OME HD shocks
SS extended brake lines front and rear
New OME steering damper and home made relocation kit
Differential guards front and rear
2 New Tie Rod Ends on Drag link
2 New Tie Rod Ends on Track rod
New front and rear spring isolators
Removed factory side steps
New front passenger side hard brake pipe('cause I broked the old one)
New 265/75/16 GoodYear DuraTrac tires

The whole process went fairly smoothly. I stretched everything out over the course of three days. I worked slowly , not moving on to something else before one thing was done. The hardest part was installing the rear SS extended lines. A real pain to get to and to get loose.

I am VERY happy with how it turned out. :D I still need to adjust my steering stops and trim a little fender. I also have new power steering hoses to go on and need to replace the bearing in my belt tensioner.
Sorry for the driveway shots, hope to have some real ones soon.

Measurements:

Driver Front 31 7/16 34 3/8
Pass Front 31 34 1/4
Driver Rear 32 3/16 34 3/4
Pass Rear 31 7/16 34 3/8

Here's the difference between the two front stock springs and the new front RTE one. WTF?

A co-worker of mine has the exact same tire, even the size, on his Chevy 1500. He's had them for probably close to 9 months, he got them when they first came out. He likes them so far and they have been wearing well. He actually had the BFG AT's before them and he likes the GY better. Less noise. He doesn't do any off roading though.

I'll let your guys know how they hold up on my Disco, although I really have no comparison. :)

Nice. That's the best color on a Disco I. Woodcote Green. My 98 LE was the same color, but after beating the shit out of it on the trails, it ruined the paint with the scratches.

Damn, that's a good looking truck! I agree, the Woodcote green is the best. I did the same thing with my '99 D1 SD except I also added the DII rubberized front shock tower rings. They give a little better dampening on the road and they raised the front another half inch or so which made everything level. I have the extended SS brake lines but haven't installed them yet. My tires are the lesser 245/75 AT KL78 Kuhmo's which I like alot.

Ive been running the GY Duratracs since last summer. They have been wearing well and would definitely recommend them. I bought them for snow (work great) and they are a hell of an improvement over my last tires (ATs from Les Schwab)

Nicely done!

Chop the bottom corner off the rear fenders behind the wheel before they start taking bites of rubber off the tires.

Thanks for all the kudos guys.

Lake Bueller: I won't be able to make it even though I REALLY want to, I'm on-call for work that weekend as luck would have it.

Muskyman: I was WTFing the difference between the two front stock springs, kinda odd, no?
