:( Keith at Rovertacks.com did a great job building my two diff in one day!! However the stupidity that can sometimes overtake my body has stuck again! After many cold hours last night and this morning I got my DL / TT installed. So I got in and drove to my local unknown testing spot. (The gorge east of the new Sams and Walmart in south-east Aurora). It?s a great local area for testing approach and departure as well as bending my exhaust. A long time ago I saw some pictures of an exhaust that went out the rear side of the Disco. Does anyone have more information on it so I can have Exhaust pro?s do it for me tomorrow? The last one Midas did was a piece of SH%#.

I had a friend who owns a muffler shop do that on my truck. No magic to it. Just bend up some pipe and have it exit out the side instead of out the back.

Rick, My exhaust is routed out the side body panel and I eliminated the resonator at the same time. It was real easy. Cut the resonator off as close to it as you can so you have some pipe to work with. I took a hole saw and cut a hole in the body panel large enough for the desired exhaust pipe. Then had a neat little beauty ring made to clean it up a bit. went to a muffler shop had them bend a pipe at the correct angle and weld it on. It looks way cool and doesn't sound much louder than stock. Total time including driving to the muffler shop was about an hour.

That said its going away soon. I am replacing the rear bumper with something much stronger than stock before the stock one finally falls of or gets drug off. This will require me to route the exhaust straight back. also most of the body panel it is routed out of now will be trimmed off. so my point is it was fun while it lasted but the need for better departure angle has over ridden the cool exhaust out the side thing.
