Those photos are nothing short of amazing! Thanks for posting. :applause:

The American West is beautiful. One could travel the area their entire life and still not see it all.

i'd kill for a trip like that.

Really? Get in your Disco & drive out to southern Utah for a few weeks and roam around with some topo maps. You might not be able to take pics like that, but the trip is there waiting for you.

Got to get out more!!

I've seen those before, super!

Also, you can really tell the difference in lens quality when you see images like that, the shallow depth of field ain't no point-n-shoot

I want ot has that trip........

Great pics, what an amazing trip! Though I have to say, it seems as though there were an unusually high number of mechanical failures... two blown shocks and a CV needing to be rebuilt? Isn't this excessive?

well Its only a matter of time before I get out west or to the southwest for a trip.

My goal is to take an "expedition styled" trip through a desert/mountainous area. The trip wouldn't be oriented towards wheeling, but more towards catching snakes and fly fishing with my rover being my primary resource to get me where I wanted/needed to go and then back home.

I'd like to take it within the next year or two while I'm still an undergrad so I can get some experience with some of the southwest's most deadly snakes and meet some herpetologists in the AZ, NM, CO area before I try and go to graduate school

Good stuff. I kind of miss doing that, but not breaking my shit. Maybe someday I will be able to do it again.

I have been to the Henry's about 10 times in the early 90's. Those darned buffalo are elusive suckers. Not only the only free ranging... the only that can be hunted, thus elusive. Almost got killed by poachers, but no buffs. Lonesome Beaver Campground... what a name!

Great pics.
