I find that my 04 likes commie fuel, i.e. Citgo, I regularly get an extra 25 miles out of a tank using it. I find the same is typically true of Chevron fuel. Hess is by far the worst performer next to Wally World (Walmart) gas which has so much ethanol it foams like diesel and I get more on the floor than on the tank and if I get 175 miles out of the 25 gallons I'm lucky.

Keep in mind that ethanol is no good for aluminum so using it in an aluminum rover engine is not exactly the best for engine longevity.

This article is related to E20 on marine tanks, but the long term effects of E10 on an already soft aluminum Rover block are probably pretty bad (better safe than sorry).

From what I understand that's why a lot of newer cars have plastic intake manifolds, because the alcohol eats the aluminum ones alive from the inside out.

Side of the road....
I didn't know you could still find a pump that didn't have at least 10% ethanol on it. At least not here in Northern GA. If anyone knows of some let me know.

from what the the guy at the shell station was telling me, it is currently blended at the tanker terminal that its brought from , he said the price diffrence was unreasonable and thats why he was switching to the ethanol (unwillingly)

he was the only station that i know of, in say a 40 mile radius, that still is runnig pure gas
