Chrysler needs a small car in their line up. they already said the Cruiser was near end of life, but they need to replace it with something. Surprised on the durango too. you'd figure they would make a decent 6cyl model. Dump the Aspen and shitty rebadged jeep shit and magnum.
good riddance to Hummer, too bad for Saab and Saturn.

I've honestly always wondered how you could ever be a salesman at a chrysler/dodge dealership and confidently sell one of their cars. I could never sell a PT Cruiser, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Caliber, etc without asking the customer what would ever compel them to buy such a fugly car.

Good to see chrysler is on the right track, getting their ugly cars off the road.

I'm sure all those unemployed Americans are going "Sweet!" right about now.

My question would be why cant GM change their factory to output a different car instead of the Hummer? Toyota does it down here in San Antonio. When the Tacoma's aren't hot at the moment, the workers begin working other areas in the production line. Why couldn't GM do the same instead of closing a ton of factories?

Toyota and Honda have built plants that are capable of changing product lines in months. I think I read 18 months is the minimum GM reconfig time frame.

No need for hourlies with a closed plant.

That's too bad about Saab. I really enjoy driving my wife's 9.5. There's not much out there right now that really appeals to me from the car stand-point. Yeah...the 5 series BMW is nice. But the price is a little steep. Plus the nearest dealer is almost an hour from my house.

I thought that Paul Schram was selling a limited supply of custom tools when I saw the title.

The 'PT Looser' is from the little-know "digestion enhancement" line of products from Paul's company.

If GM had any brains it would have made a Hybrid version of the Hummer last year to keep sales going... It was one of the best selling vehicles they had

Ford wants to come back to life make the F150 get 40MPG its very possible to archive that....

If Land Rover was smart (There Not) build a replacement Defender 110 that gets 40 MPG and sell it for under 35K

But its all about bare minimum expenditures to maximize their profits for the few not whats good for the there company, there consumers or our country...

They cant even fire the corporate leadership because of there huge golden parachutes will send them into bankruptcy... Look at the guy from At&T was canned because he was supposedly a dim bulb.... Yep he was canned with a 26 Million paycheck.. Who is the dim bulb there.....
