Love mine, but you have to air them down to 15psi to get the most out of them on the trail. Tough as nails though and quietest aggresive tread I have ever run. Gives the Disco that classic LR tall skinny look, which I like.

fwiw, I run 13" wide tsl's on an 8" wheel. Even aired down below 10 psi I have yet to debead, I have bent the rims, several times, but pounded them back.
I'd prefer a 9" wheel, which I'm putting on soon. Not for debeading, but the tire is a bit ballooned. Keep that in mind when your getting close to being too wide for the rim. Even with lower tire pressure, on the street, the center treads will start wearing funky.

As far as a 7" wheel I think you'd be safe up to under 11" section width. That's my assumption, so don't hold me to it. There should be somebody on D-90 that is running a wide tire on alloys, I'd post up the as well.

I ran a set of Cooper STT in 285/75-16 on stock wheels before getting the KM2's.
Never had any issues with beads that weren't pressure related, I have run as low as 8 psi in the snow without losing a bead.
There were no wear issues or any reason why I would not run 285's again on stock wheels.

fwiw i just put a set of 255/85 16s maxxis bighorns i love em. I ran 2 sets of km2s and to be honest i wasnt impressed. I have the 255s on AB steelies... road noise is minimal and wet weather sipes were a added improvment over the km2s in wet weather. overall diameter inflated at 38 psi is around 32.8 inches.

I went from 265/75 to the 255/85 BFG km2 they are super quiet, great ride, the only thing is that the truck now pulls a little to the left under acceleration (I will swap them left to right to see if problem persists), I have been driving like this for a month or so now, and still feel like it wanders between the lines a little too.

I must be the only person who would rather have 285/75s over 255/85s. I prefer the feel of my 265/75s over the feel of the 255/85s. I figure it must be less sidewall flex.

Well, as of 20 min. ago, I can now give you first-hand knowledge of the on-road prowess of the 255 KM2's. First of all; 3in. of lift, no sway bars (or ACE), no front cross-member, damp road surface.
Coming up a hill at 55 mph in the dark. At the last moment, I see a giant christmas tree has jumped into my lane blocking it completely. No traffic in the other lane, so I execute what I would consider a fairly agressive lane change and prepare for the possible drama to come. Result? Nothing! Tires never missed a beat. No sounds, no slides.
I actually think that vehicle lean and sidewall flex benefitted me in this scenario. Gave enough to keep everything planted.
FWIW.

I think I'm pretty sold on them guys, thanks.
Helievacpilot, that account is good to hear as I have no sway bars either. And I do run wheel spacers that widen my stance and provide a little more stability.
And Amazon has them for $219 each right now with free two day shipping. Too bad the cash isn't there yet.

Yea, I really thought I'd be doing the two wheel trick. On another note, you'll probably cry when you hear what I got mine for. Some place in CA shipped them to my door for $150 apiece. Was a e-bay auction. Deal of the century.
