Anyone done it ?

I need to improve my cooling, hot weather all year long, a lot of city driving with A/C on all the time, just guessing a bigger radiator would be the most effective modification.

Any advice or feedback is very much welcome.

Cheers

what about the upper hose mod? Seems everyone that has done it is happy with the results.

ever thought about going with an electric fan? i havent, but i just did a nice dual fan set up on a customer's and it seemingly doesnt even need the high speed setting to do its job.

I've been over this twice and still don't understand how
switching the thermostat from bottom hose to top will
improve the cooling.
I'm not saying it's not effective, I just don't get it.

then you haven't read enough. You could also go with the PEL500110 T-stat

and it forces coolant through the radiator anytime the tstat is open. the stock tstat has almost zero flow through the radiator at idle at any temp.
