Hey All!

Need a 2 bike bicycle rack that will fit a 2003 Disco. Any suggestions? Either trailer hitch or spare tire preffered.

THANKS!

If you can afford it, go with the Yakima Full Swing4.

I have the Roc2 which just bends down slightly. It allows me to open the rear door about half way. With the Full Swing, you can open it all the way.

Check Ebay for deals.

Get a rack that fits in the receiver and on which the bikes sit on their own wheels in tracks. These are so much easier and safer to transport your bikes safely and without damage than the ones which hold the bikes hanging from their top tubes. They are certainly more costly, but well worth it for regular use.

I bought a 'cargo basket' style that fits in the receiver hitch. I then strap the bike handle bars to the spare. Works great for bikes & will carry luggage also!

Cheers,

Paul.

I am a professional downhill rider and I use the saris cycleon pro, it's the best way to carry your bikes and can't damage your frame or fork in anyway, also fits perfectly even with spare on the rear of your vehicle.

I run a Thule hitch mounted one and its great. Not cheap but if you will use it alot its well worth it. Very solidly built and by having it out back of the Disco it keeps the bikes safe from road debris and they mount solidly via the front wheel pulldown clamps.

I ride for a couple of local shops in arkansas, Poppa Wheelies and Highlander Cycling. I have a mid level sponsorship through the Mongoose Factory team and Rockgarden and I race an 09' Boot'r Team.
