Replaced the valley gasket and seals this weekend due to an oil leak at back end of engine, job went fine but during the process I noted that the trumpet closest to the firewall (#8?) was all black and oily inside while the others were at least half clean.
Is this a message from the engine that this cylinder has some problems or could it be the leaky gaskets that caused this?
Or is it normal for some reason?
The engine runs OK but not great, some slight misfire, rough idle and when cold it hesitates.
