Has anyone ever tried to take a black plastic piece like in the Black Magic's and put it in your 4k's?

Just wondering if it could be done...all the BM have in them is a black plastic piece to make them appear black when not on...

Not sure that I would even want to do it, just curious if it had been done....

Thanks

the lamp assembly is sealed. i guess you could take it and put it into a 4k housing but i'm not sure that it will fit. you can't remove the reflector itself though without disassembling the lamp unit itself.

Why oh why???

If you want a blacked light, go with the Magics.... if you're worrying about it being blacked out, then you worrying about how it looks and not how it helps you see.... if you want to see w/ the light, forget about it and just run the 4000's....

FWIW.....

I already run 4k's and know how they help me see....again, just wondering if anyone had done this as I wouldn't want to switch to the Black Magic's but think the 4k's may look cool like that....that's all.

like i said, the only way it would work is if they'd fit in a 4k housing. i doubt they will as they're equivalent to the 1ks. besides, you can't see the black reflector most of the time. it just looks less than clear, for lack of a better term. stick to the 4Ks.
