Update: I installed the $30 Napa block heater last night. Fits perfectly, no leaks. Cant wait for a cold PA morning. It looks exactly like the genuine setup.

I used to have black heaters in my SAABs, but now I preheat my truck just like I used to preheat airplanes for the base customers when I worked a part-time aviation line service job... with a 50,000 BTU "torpedo" heater. I fire that baby up, direct the blast under the engine bay (warms the front diff too) and go inside for that 2nd cup of morning coffee. That, in conjunction with 5W40 oil works for me for quick cold-weather startups.

I bought the Model 16 (250 watts). It seems to be the best fit for the oil pan.
