All, I may purchase a rig as a parts truck- 97 disco. It has a blown motor (I have no idea how bad it is yet) but I was wondering if there is any value in a blown block on the board. Would anyone buy it? If I can even get a few hundred out of it the purchase will prolly pay for itself. Let me know if anyone would be interested in it.

Thanks in advance.

What exactly do you mean by "blown block"? If the head gaskets are blown and the block is intact, then yes - the engine is worth something. Maybe a couple hundred. If the block itself is actually cracked, then I don't think anyone will be interested in the effort/expense of that repair when replacement blocks can be had relatively cheaply. If the block itself if cracked, your best bet may be to sell it to a metal recycler or make a coffee table out of it.

^^^Thanks! That's super helpful advice. I've only kicked the tires at this point and I'll get into this thing deeper before I pull the trigger.

Likely not if you can't document it was running recently and still capable of run. Nobody here wants a POS when they can get a junk yard guaranteed for less bucks.
