for iPad..
So i was thinking a bluetooth wireless camera that would link to my iPad would make a kickass backup camera for the Disco, Since the only thing I see in my rearview mirror is my spare tire.
However my google searches are proving fruitless.
Any suggestions?

Yeah I saw those package deals but usually the monitor is really small. I just thought the size of the iPad would be nice. I considered the little wearable camera but $150 is more than I wanted to spend on this little project. I'll just continue to back into things untill my bumper falls off ;)

You could also potentially get a wifi-cam and get a little wireless router in your truck to create a network, and then have the ipad pull from that.
I like the idea of having a wireless router in the vehicle. It opens quite a few possibilities.

I travel with the Kyocera KR-1 mobile router. It's got a Sprint air card stuck in it, even though I got the box from a Verizon Rep :D. We were looking at them for patrol cars instead of USB or PCMCIA data cards. Works well for kids playing games as well as laptops getting updates for maps and weather.

For a backup camera, get a consumer grade one and monitor built into the rear-view mirror.
