Brake bleeding, how to bleed the ABS solenoid pack.

First off, I am not profiting from any video or product. I am posting in order to help out DIY owners.

I have tried a number of methods of bleeding out the ABS solenoid pack on my '96 Discovery, all without good results. I have always known that the Discos had a good firm pedal from the factory, but I have seen few that still have a good firm pedal after many years of service. I have striven to get the old fluid out of the solenoid pack, and to do an entire system flush, so that I can have a firm pedal. Now, I have achieved it. I built a solenoid actuator that cycles the solenoids, 4 at a time. It can also turn on the ABS pump. It is not for sale, but I made a video about building one, and a video about using it to bleed the brakes. It is a simple build and if you have basic skills, you can make one for under $100. The videos are unscripted and reflect the actual process. They are not rehearsed. So, if you lack a Rover Testbook, and I suspect that few people own one, then you may find these videos valuable. They improved the pedal feel by about 30% and increased the braking capability of my Rover. You may want to run the videos at 1.5x normal speed. Here is the link to my YouTube page.

it worked. Id previously replaced everything, and bled the brakes with every gimmick tool out there, and there was always an inch or so of pedal movement that did nothing. its now gone

That oscillator took some figuring out. I could only get it to run at 1hz, nothing faster.

I'll watch the video later and try to build one myself..

But if someone is bored, can you list the parts needed to order in advance?

Maybe a write up?
