brake bolts

I plan to replace the brake pads on my wife's 2003 Disco next weekend. I'm going to try some Lockheed pads I picked up from DAP. I noticed the workshop manual recommends using new bolts for holding the calibers in the housing after replacing the pads and I know the factory pads come with new bolts. Two questions:
1.) How critical is it to renew these bolts? Can I re-use the existing bolts, maybe with a touch of locktite? I don't want to do anything unsafe.
2.) If I need new bolts, do you know the size/specifications for the bolts?

Thanks!

It's not necessary to replace them, and don't use any LocTite. Lockheed is OEM, so the ones you buy MIGHT include the bolts anyway. If they don't and you decide you have to have them, I probably have a few hundred - you can have 8 for the postage it takes to mail them to you.

If you want to source them locally, they're material class 10.9 8x1.00x23mm with a 7mm shoulder & an integral washer on the 12mm head.

The lockheeds from DAP come with the bolts. Have you looked? If not you might call them.

Having said that, I wouldn't worry about reusing them.

Thanks, guys. No bolts came with the pads. I will probably just reuse the current bolts (maybe swap them out next time).

Steve, thanks for the offer on the bolts. I'll see if I can easily source 'em locally (can't hurt to have a few on hand, I guess). If I can't track 'em down, I will PM.
