Brake Dust Shields

Tearing down my 04 D2 diffs to fix a leaking set of ARB's. Brake dust shields are mucked up.


Wondering if there is any reason to put them back on. Any protection whatsoever against rock/mud damage when wheeling?

I found them to be annoying when wheeling my D1. The rocks would get stuck between the shields and the rotors. Ditched mine years ago and have been fine.

I removed mine 5 years ago. No problems.
