Brake Line Leak

on my way home from the coast on Saturday, my brakes suddenly got very squishy, having to press the pedal all the way to the floor and my 'BRAKE" light came on the dash. Sunday I checked the brake fluid, and it was empty, so I filled it up. As soon as I pressed the pedal she started peeing out brake fluid just past the driver's side wheel, and was empty in about 5 minutes. I looked under the truck and searched the lines that run from ABS pump to the rear and couldn't find any breaks or cracks (but it would be easy to miss). Could it be as simple as the coupler? Would these ever come loose and cause fluid to spray out?

I'll probably take it into a local Rover shop for a complete brake service, but wanted to see if there's a common/simple fix for the symptom.

Thanks

A common fix would be a rusted and broken brake line. But not simple. And the caliper pistons can get so pitted and rusty that they leak past the seals just sitting in your parking lot.

If you cant find the leak when its leaking that fast that kind of surprises me. You should see a wet spot on the ground someplace. If not then it could be leaking out of the rear of the master cylinder and into the brake booster. I've even see them leak all the way into the cabin and end up under the carpet.

I can see the spot, it's just behind the driver's side front wheel, just past the coupler. What I can't find is an obvious break or crack in the line. I can see a mist of break fluid come out when I press the brake pedal, so it's pretty obvious where it's coming from, but visibly I don't see a break in the line, so that's my confusion.

I'll be dropping it off at a shop... I don't have time this week for a fix, ugh.
