So for the past few months, my 93 LWB has had an issue with the brake-related warning lights. ABS, traction control normally do not turn off after rolling. Sometimes, parking brake stays on as well, even if it's down and released. Occasionally, on heavy braking, the brake pad wear light dims and brightens. (This began after the others, after some fun in puddles on the beach in NC.) Also, on extreme heavy braking, the screen wash light comes on (but I think that's actually low, and could just be affected by the fluid swishing around.)

Frequently, the lights will come on or off when going over rough bumps, especially at highway speed.

Thing is, all aforementioned systems are working fine. ABS still works, traction control...well, I guess it's working...brake pads are all fine. So I can't figure out if this is a problem or not.

I'm guessing all these systems are linked to a common sensor, which is getting knocked around somewhere. Seeing as the systems are all okay, and due to the intermittent the problem, I'm guessing that it's a sensor problem. I've driven over 10,000 miles with this issue, and haven't had any problems stopping or anything. (Touch wood...)

So the question is...is this likely a sensor issue? If so, is it worth the somewhat-substantial investment to replace the brake sensors? Is it possible to just knock something back into place? Or am I better off just ignoring the lights, knowing that all systems seem to be acting as normal?
