Brake spec question

The last Disco I I owned, I replaced the stock brake hardware with Defender Hardware, which required me to change out the calipers because of the rotor thickness. That D1 is long gone, and I have another one, which needs new rotors and pads. I see a lot of rotors offered that say they fit the D1. and are various combinations of slotted, drilled and vented. Has anyone tried any of these, and if so how were they? I remember the braking on my old D1 was considerably better with the slotted, drilled and vented Defender rotors, but they were thicker rotors than the stock D1 rotors. My concern is the strength/durability/life of a D1 thickness that is vented. I don't expect to be doing much offroading, so mud and such is not an issue. I also live in a fairly flat area, so riding brakes downhill isn't an issue in terms of heat or stress.
And BTW, what IS the factory thickness of the rotors? I can't seem to find that info on the web today. I seem to remember it's around 13mm. Is that right?

Thanks in advance!

I use NAS Defender vented rotors, calipers, and pads. The hard line is different but you can bend copper nickel lines to fit (purchased mine at Oreillys) or buy prebent (second time I did it) lines from most of the known vendors, such as Rovers North. I have never felt a need for drilled / slotted. There are many sources for the calipers, pads, rotors.

Depending where you buy them there is little difference in cost between the standard D1 and the D90 parts.

Also, I wouldn’t consider it an upgrade in braking but D110 calipers and pads make replacing pads later bit simpler.
