Well my break pedal now goes all the way to the floor until it grabs a little. It stops when I literally stand on it but its pretty close, usually call on the E-brake for back up. There have been no previous problems or lights on. Any ideas on where to start?

pretty much a 0% chance of this being the problem, but make sure the pin that connects the brake pedal to the booster pushrod is still there. When you forget to put that back in you get these symptoms.

Then bleed the crap out of the brakes

bleed the brakes.....by yourself it takes less than a hour (careful not to strip the valves). if that doesn't fix the problem most likey its your master cylinder. if you have to replace your master clylinder its a piece of cake too, but be careful not to strip the nuts on the lines going into the master cylinder. then bleed the brakes again.

good luck

Have you looked under the truck to see if any brake fluid is squirting out of a break in a brake line when you press the pedal? I know this should be obvious, but that will cause the same symptom. I had to have 2 brake lines repaired on my D1 before I could drive it.

funny my d2 just had the pedal go to the floor today... though it was just the brake pad being removed from the caliper and allowing me to self-bleed the brakes. ;-) should be easy unless you think brakes are a challenge, then i would say to take it to a shop and see whats wrong with it. you wouldn't wanna smack your face against the windshield...gl

im throwing DBA rotors, pads, and new stainless steel lines at my problem like this. i think my brakes are just plain wore out.
