I couldn't help noticing that you can buy brand new 2010 110 Defenders with TDI engine for about 31K USD in Uk at present. I saw them on Ebay. They are Left hand drive which is not interesting if you live in UK.
You can have them in any colour you want...as long as its white.
They are located about 1 hours drive from Gatwick Airport should anyone be interested.

This isn't brand new, but it's cool. I don't think there is a single panel that is straight. I guess it gives it character.

These are not 2010 models. Stuart @ Foleys is advertising them as 2010's as they have never been registered. They were manufactured in 2006. The Tdi has not been in production in many years. The current defender diesel is the Puma/Ford transit common rail engine.

Well...... that's great if you live over there. But there is no way to get one into this country. Sad though.

That is unless someone got an EPA exemption for military training purposes and can bring in whatever they want. I won't say who, but I know who'll be driving 2010 Defenders and Land Cruisers in VA and CT. :)

i know a guy that has an 05' td5 110 stateside. And you could always import them legally with the engine and tranny seperated from the frame. then you could get a title from a rotted out 109 and illegaly register it as that. Not my thing, but i've seen it done plenty of times.

Sure that's done every day by lots of people. Try and see what happens when you get into a car accident and they figure out that your 1976 Series III is actually a 2005 110. You're fucked. There's no "grey" area there.

I know people in my own town importing trucks in pieces and assembling them. These are 2005+ D110 Td5s. They are willing to pay and take the risk, but they can also afford to.

We could have done that and never driven the vehicles on-road and been "ok", but we'd rather be 100% legal and have the ability to drive them on the roads as well.

A "thank you" to Senator Dodd goes out. He helped make it happen for us.
