Hi, can't believe it broke on the way home from work, of all times, after much off road torture. Anyway, I took it off and it won't drive. Question: you can't drive an 02D2 without the front driveshaft? why not? Is something else wrong? Should it drive? Thanks!

Can you lock your center diff? Probably not on a '02 unless you modified the tcase...

if you can lock it, no problem running it with the rear only

The part that connects to the drive shaft, on the transfer case, is spinning, so that's good. But you can't drive it sans front shaft?

If you lock the center diff. you can drive without any issues. The problem is Land Rover decided to quit putting them in midway through '01. If you can lock it great. If you can't, you can't drive it w/o the front driveshaft.
