Frank, I replaced both of mine about 6 months ago. Unless you have access to an engine hoist, take it to your mechanic. I was able to remove the broken ones myself by jacking the engine up from the bottom. However when it came to installing the new ones, I was dead in the water. I had to limp over to my dealer for a quick fixer upper....10 minutes later I was back in business!

I need to do this too. I have put it off. Any recommendations? I will not take to the mechanic.

Also are the transfer case mounts identical?

Why were you dead in the water?

Frank , its an easy job. Take the nut off the other mount as well so you can jack the motor up without busting that one , remove the upper shroud so the fan doesnt hit it when you jack the engine up. Break out your trusty Land Rover bottle jack and put it between the axle housing and the oil pan rail on the side that its broken. Take your time jacking it up and make sure nothing is getting tweaked or otherwise detroyed. Rremove the old mount and fanagle the new one in. Lower the engine , tighten the nuts and be done with it..

Hey Kyle, from what I can tell you would do loosen front, remove/replace, then do back? is that the easiest way?

Thanks,

Brian

Note that I said Oil pan RAIL , not the pan itself. You can put a small block or steel there or something so its actually jacking on those bolt heads..
