If anyone has a solution to this problem I would greatly appreciate it. Ok, my passenger door doesn't open unless I pull up on the door lock and then pull the inside door handle. It seems to me that there is slack somewhere, but I haven't been able to find out where. The lock goes up to the correct position but it's not enough and I have to pull it up maybe another 1/4". I followed the directions on this site for "Adjusting the door on a Disco I", but I don't think that was my problem (great directions though). If anyone has any ideas while I've still got my door apart I would love to hear it. Thanks in advance.
Broken passenger door

It's a tiny spring inside the latch that's broken. I'm not sure if you could replace it, or if it's even available separately - I expect you'll have to buy a latch. 
Thanks for the reply Steve. In the first post I should have said that I can open the door with the inside or outside latch, but with either one I have to pull up on the lock.
