"Are there no military or police people on this board to bring an intelligent and informed view to the table? Because you all so far just sound reactive and scared."

Oh yeah, 20 years military and have been a reserve deputy, and you are still stupid...

I must be very lucky. My guns have never gone berserk and started shooting people.

Yup, you must be a very happy person. Have anything intelligent to say? Regardless of your opinion on this matter, that statement is just showing your lack of imagination and ability to debate a topic or offer something of merit.

LOL....judging by your myriad of responses, it looks like your ignorance isn't all that blissful for you after all....

Yeah, I totally get that part and if you could read, I also agree with it but please offer some ideas. Also, stop being such total assholes who can't even hear that I am asking for your ideas about how to remedy the problem. All you are doing is repeating the obvious - we all know the law abiding citizens "do the right thing", my friend does and he has 6 different hand guns, some for actual protection on trips with his wife and some for nostalgia.

Got any actual ideas or just more name calling? For example, do you agree that we should be able to purchase any weapon made? If not, where do you draw that tricky line?

Instead of putting these people in jail and wasting tax payers money and over flowing the system, KILL the Fuckers! Many problems solved....

And another thing, maybe schools should have a class on gun safety at an early age. One wher you learn about how guns work, what kind of destructive power they have, and how to shoot the thing. When I was growing up, my first gun was a daisy BB gun. When my father thought I was good with it, he bought me a .22. After that, he bought me a .280 for elk hunting. I started shooting at 4 years old. I got that .22 when I was 6, and I shot a .308 and a .338 by the age of 10 and when you see what those guns can do to an object you realize their destructive power. I do not fear guns, but I do RESPECT them. With society the way it is today, people are afraid of guns. They are ignorant. They see them as an object that kills, not a person that kills but an object, and our government is doing a damn good job of keeping it that way. Gun education, or lack there of, is a big part of the problem, I think!!!

he's perfect but I'm not sure he will want to repeat the performance. That will show them everything. Not only proper/improper handling but also the resulting damage.
If any of those kids ever find a gun I doubt they will play with it.
