Built Something a Little Different

I had an offroad fun run this month, but both of my full race Jeeps were out of commission. Needing something reliable, powerful, and capable, I bought an oft-overlooked 1 owner WK Hemi (factory triple locked!) with great service history. Within a couple weeks I built a very fun sand/dirt truck. It turned out to be a VERY powerful, exceptionally smooth ride for a couple days. My initial plan was to sell it when I get my other two Jeeps going, but this may be a keeper for a while. I did not have time to test rear flexability prior to the race, so some staging area fender rolling was required. We didn't do the rear quarters any favors, but I built it to beat on it. Trail damage also gives the ex-soccer dad machine some character and makes flying through hedge-flanked trails easier. The scratches are just going over dented bodywork. Near-future plans include increasing rear lift height a little to avoid rubbing when loaded with gear and installing a louder muffler. The bumper side-exit exhaust is too quiet from the driver seat for my taste, but does growl on the passenger side.
