Just got back from a 4 day trip to the Alvord Desert. Before I left, I had every single light on my XD was working. Now, both my front bumper marker lights in my ARB are out. These lights used to be on the side of the bumper caps. I've checked all the fuses that seem to be related to lighting, as well as both bulbs, and everything appears to be fine. Before I start checking the wiring, is there anything obvious I might be missing?

It's likely the housing itself. ARB didn't pick a very waterproof housing. I had to mess with mine every once in a while when I had an ARB bumper. I think I read its off some 70s volkswagon and still available from ARB.

The dash lights are on the same fuse as those so you'd know if there was a fuse problem

I ended up going to a 3 pin bulb holder in the turn signals and wiring the running light that way. Its how the ROW discoveries are done, only NAS has the bumper cap lens.

3 pin bulb housing is off defender and freelander tail lights. Just make sure you run the correct bulb and not an 1157, those are too high a wattage and will melt the connector.

paired it with the correct bumper caps for that dirty ROW look

Also, do you need a different pigtail? Like this:

On the ROW turn signal/marker combo, I went through my parts stash and found the defender rear pigtails and ordered two bulb holders from Atlantic British. When I confirm they are the correct part numbers I will update the post. I have two D1s with HD bumpers and no provision for marker lights. This will be a great way to resolve that.

i lost marker lights after going to the alvord a couple moths ago too. those washboards at 60 mph are jarring. I ended up having a wire pinched underneath the battery. didnt even know they weren't working until a few days later when i noticed i had no dash lights. also discovered the lights in the bumper were all rusted out, so now i just dont use them.

I just completed this little project today. The part number for the pigtail is STC4637 (Defender tail/stop light) and the bulb holder is XPB100190.
